MUM ❤️

It's with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have the heartbreaking announcement of the passing of my Mum. You were one in a million. Passed away peacefully Saturday 19th April 2025.

 You've grown your angel wings, heaven has truly gained a new angel. I'm absolutely heartbroken and in complete shock. My tears just won't stop. I know that we can't live forever and I know we can't choose our time. I didn't get the chance to say goodbye and yet I drove as quickly as I could to be with you but the angels took you so quick. No pain now and no worries. Rest in peace mum, you're with your dad, your mum and brothers, Terry and Bill.


 I was only looking at some old photos a few days ago of aunty nans farm. You loved going on the farm and I loved the stories you told me. So sorry we didn't get to celebrate Mother's Day like we used to, what I would give to have one last chat together.

Thank you for all the wonderful memories, your love and guidance, especially your encouragement and heartwarming strength of words for my art. You were my biggest fan, you inspired me to keep going, you told me to always dig deep when I was at my lowest ebb and to never ever give up on my dreams. ❤️


It hurts so much right now and I will miss you so much. I never told you how proud you made me feel and how proud I was to be your son, you were always impeccable, exceptional dress sense, beautiful and elegant. The last message you sent me was a smiley face and two kisses :-) xx Mum ❤️ As a close and loving family we are heartbroken, we will all miss you so much, sleep tight mum, I love you, we all love you. You will be forever in our hearts. 💞

 It's been three weeks since my biopsy, my eye is a little sensitive, very bloodshot and i'm struggling to get a goodnights sleep. It's so frustrating and boredom fills the day unable to paint, I suppose it's understandable under the circumstances and I do need the rest to get back to full fitness. Having said that I also need to get out there and be part of the community. I've just completed a Makers Market at Trentham on Saturday 16th. Living The Dream

My Dream!  It's always been a dream to own my own business and the journey has been rocky. Steering the ship through turbulent waters saps your energy but with help and the support of friends, family and suppliers there's light at the end of the tunnel. There's been some tough decisions along the way but it's all come together to bring this exciting news...  It's certainly a massive decision considering the high street has taken a big hit and many big stores have gone. We've been growing at an alarming rate and to keep up with demand we've had to expand to show more originals and limited editions.  It's now official, I've signed on the dotted line and ready to move into kiosk 1 on the Trentham Shopping Village, Stone Road, Trentham, Stoke-on-Trent ST4 8JG  Posters are going up this week and I'll be in from the 14th January on sporadic days adding artwork and gallery fixtures and fittings. It's been a week!

 Yes, it's been a week. Everyday from 10am till 5pm in the Gallery/Shop at Trentham Shopping Village. Saturday 1st February was absolutely unbelievable, the Chinese New Year Festival was in full swing, the place was buzzing and the Gallery had a great day. In fact the Sunday was also busy, it did tail off in the week just as I expected but the footfall at Trentham was still busy. I'm painting an original every month to keep up with demand. It's quite funny people were mistaking me for an artist that has challenged himself to paint an original every day. "Are you that guy that's bin on TV? He's painting a painting every day tha nose!" "If only I could, I have one eye, I have difficulty painting at all tha nose" lol.  The piece I'm working on at the minute is called Morning Mist and is the first in in the series of Friendship.
